The Kemp Town Bicentennial Book 1823-2023

The Kemp Town Bicentennial Book 1823-2023The Kemp Town Bicentennial Book 1823-2023 was published in May and was very warmly received.

More than half the print run of 200 was sold in the
first few days. “It’s an absolute delight,” one Chichester Terrace resident wrote, “and what wonderful
photographs – both from the past and the present. I may have lived here 40 years but only know a fraction of the stories that the book includes so it will be much enjoyed.”

From now on, copies will only be available from the Kemp Town Bookshop at £30 each.

Six stunning pictures from the book, taken by Lewes Crescent resident Janine Nahapiet, have been extracted for postcards which will be available from Jonathan Rolls at 50p each, when the office re-opens fully.

Blank on the reverse side, they are ideal for writing thank-you notes and invitations.

The Board is also hoping that Christmas cards, featuring a snowy garden scene taken some years ago by Ben Borrett, will also be available for purchase towards the end of the year.

Your Board Needs You!

Since the AGM in 2023, we have lost four key members from the Board of Directors.

The Board therefore welcomes residents interested in joining the board to submit their CV and a statement of what their skills would contribute to the skill set of the board by the 24th of March.

The Board would also welcome enquiries and would be happy to discuss what being a member of the Board of KTE entails,
in advance of the submission deadline.
